Friends,
Mom passed away at approximately 1:10 a.m. She died peacefully in her bed with my dad lying by her side.
We will post arrangements for her memorial service tomorrow.

A news site and message board to keep Deb's family and friends updated and connected.
Dear friends, I awoke a couple hours ago and couldn't sleep, just thinking and praying for you all. We are just so sorry for your loss, and the loss for all of us. You must all be exhausted, but finding comfort in each other, in the laughter of Miles and Claire, and in the arms of those dearest to you, and ultimately, the Lord. My prayer is that you can sleep, getting emotional rest for the days to come. When morning dawns it will be reality, not this surreal middle of the night. We will watch for details. Much love, Judy and Mark
ReplyDeleteDear Will and all your family, my heart is with you on this very sad day. Deb's vibrant spirit, her many gifts, her love poured out for you all, her warmth... these you'll miss deeply and sharply. May God comfort you now and always with the love of Christ, deeper than knowledge or understanding. May our Lord you each in the palm of His hand, on which your names are engraved. With love and prayers, Christie Bruce
ReplyDeleteI received Nadines text last night I began to pray for each of you. My prayers is that you all experience the peace and comfort only the Lord can give. What keeps popping up in my mind when I think of Debbie is the awesome legacy of love she has left to each of you. That love only comes from the Father. What great joy to know that she is resting in the arms of our Almighty King. Praise the Lord for the gift of Debbies life. I will continue to lift all of you in prayer. All my love, Lori
ReplyDeleteAmen to Judy's & Christine's comments, both so well said.
ReplyDeleteOur loss is Deb's & heaven's gain.
Thanks for letting us know, Nadine.
With love & prayers for all of you, but no need to for Deb, as she has entered, as she posted earlier, her "home in glory land that outshines the sun,"
B.J.
Oh friends. My heart is so heavy, knowing the great pain you are bearing this morning. As others have so eloquently stated above, my prayer for you is that you find comfort in the Lord, in your memories of Deb, and with each other in these upcoming days. I know they will be long and demanding as you seek to honor Deb and I pray for rest for each one of you.
ReplyDeleteAs I look over the pictures on the blog and see Deb's smiling, beautiful face, I can only think of the fantastic celebration happening in Heaven at this moment. All her pain and suffering has melted away and she is standing in the presence of Jesus. Whole, and healthy, and unencumbered. What joy! I know the multitude welcomed her Home this morning and I think of the reunion of Deb with Baba and her sisters and all the other faithful servants who were awaiting her and delight in her now. I know my Pop is there and Joe's dad and I hope they are dancing!
I love each of you dearly. I write you with tears on my face and an aching sadness in my heart. Praying for peace that passes understanding.
love always, April
As I read the blog this morning my heart aches with sadness for your family. Deb was such an inspiration to me when she would conduct our bible study classes or even lead Rachel Circle at the Sebring Presbyterian Church. I have followed this blog faithfully everyday since I have learned about your mom's illness and prayed daily for her and your family. She will continue to live through her family and what a beautiful family she and your dad have. I love all the pictures and can see the joy Miles and Claire have brought to your parents. Our thoughts and prayers will continue for all. God Bless....Cheryl Tafe

Isiah 33:24 - No one living in Zion will say "I am ill"

Our deepest sympathies and prayers for all of you. Deb will always be with you, for those we remember and share stories about will live on forever in our hearts and the hearts of the grandchildren she loved so.
ReplyDeleteWhen Dave and I travel, we like to sing to Randy Travis gospel CDs. May these words bring you some comfort
If you only knew what lies awaiting
If you could only see what I can see
If you could only hear the music playing
The angels singing sweet victory
Oh, if you only knew, if you only knew,
How much he loves you.
One day we will each know what Deb now knows and we can rejoice together.
Much love,
Cindy and Dave Garrison
